John Tavares Tells Isles Nyet!

April 1st, 2009 | by torontosportsmedia

Pat Grissom, John Tavares’s agent apparently had a pretty pointed discussion with Garth Snow and Charles Wang last night in Manhattan. Apparently the message was, if the Isles win the NHL lottery they had best set their sites on another player as John Tavares has no interest in going to the Islanders. This is stunning change from what we have heard from the Tavares camp previously, and so far no one is talking about the why. When asked for a comment, Tavares reportedly told the AP “If I get drafted by the Islanders, I will go play in the KHL”

Expect to see more on this as the day progresses.
