Since you had the best MSMers how about the worst MSMers?
Shannon, Siegel, Cox (on radio, I actually don’t mind his coloumns),

    :( Bye Kid. RIP

  3. As a Montrealer that grew up an Expos fan in the ’70s and ’80s I am truly saddened by Gary Carter’s passing.

Carter, Parrish, Speier, Cromartie, Valentine, LaFlore, Scott, Rogers…sigh.

  4. Daniel says:

Sad news. I miss the Expos in general.

Imagine how different things might have been if this proposed downtown stadium was built?

  5. Raptors Devotee says:

Before Tim Tebow and Jeremy Lin there was someone else who also openly praised his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, and that was Gary Carter. Growing up in Montreal and seeing Gary’s entire Montreal career except for his return stint with the Expos in ’92 as I was in Toronto then I have to say it never bothered me when mentioned in interviews and when Gary signed things with a reference to it.

The reason why, because it was genuine and never done in a way that made you feel uncomfortable. Would I have preferred that all the Praise the Lord references I heard countless times were not said, I guess so, but take that away and you would not have seen the same type of Hall of Fame career that Gary gave us.

Gary’s religious beliefs defined him and his lifestyle. He never shortchanged the fans and was truly one of the few players who Always gave 100 per cent. He played through sickening injuries and wear and tear on his knees always putting the team ahead of his personal health.

I have the utmost respect and admiration for Gary and send my heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and millions of fans.

  6. Andrew says:

I wathed the video of his last hit on MLB.com. The Kid in all his excited glory and a full house for baseball in Montreal. I didn’t know whether to smile or cry. I wouldn’t in anyway call myself a baseball fan, but I really miss the Expos.
