If memory serves, the last time these two teams met, a hockey game broke out after the inital fights to open the game. This series, which opens tonight, will be, to borrow an old sports cliche, a war. But let’s not go down that path – we’ll leave that to Ron McLean.

Is the NHL destined to have a Devils vs. Coyotes Stanley Cup final? How much longer can Josh Hamilton maintain his gaudy numbers at the plate? This plus the Hebsy’s with Mark & Bubba, tonight at 7, on CHCH.

has this site ever gone this long without some original content? hopefully Cox writes some answers to our questions soon …
.
Major league baseball fired the arbitrator who overturned the Braun suspension. That’s a pretty damning statement. If Braun turns out to have a HOF career I wonder whether the voters would put him in the same category as Mcguire and Sosa and Palmero.
Didnt TSM just write a ratings article last week?
i’m glad that the Star has continued writing sports media stories, but i’m finding the growing pains with Raju well … a little painful. here’s his take on the McLean 9/11 fiasco:
.
“It was a minor controversy, and after being slightly singed by the uproar here’s hoping MacLean will stick to the business at hand, and like the good announcer he usually is, let the magnitude of the game speak for itself.”
.
what are the words “here’s hoping …” doing in an opinion column? In what sense does this qualify as only a minor controversy? How long can the CBC carry on with a duo that cannot help generating negative headlines?
Zelkovich was nothing special (bring back Bill Houston!) but Raju needs to learn to be a little more pointed in his commentary if there is going to be a point to his column.
Bob Elliott seems to be stuck at the end of whatever hour he’s scheduled on every time. It usually means that Bob has very little time to talk with him. I wonder if it’s just unlucky or if it’s on purpose. o:
I wish bob wouldnt tease us with the idea of banning damian from the show.
Damien needs to backtrack on an opinion that he disagreed strongly with Bob on and then claim he didn’t. That’s what got MacLean banned the first time. >_> (the insulting Bob while holding each position probably had to do with it too)
