nice to finally hear from Brian Burke, who has been very quiet over the last few months. Sadly it’s in the tired mode of blustery ad hominem over ESPN’s ranking of the Leafs as one of the worst organizations in all of pro sports

  2. Totally agree Mike in Boston. You would think that Burke has more important things on his ledger than worrying about how the Leafs, and as an extension MLSE, are being portrayed by the U.S. media. Simple solution, finally do your job properly and have your team in the playoffs and magically, your ranking will improve, albeit that results on the ice are but one aspect of how the ranking was compiled. This concern for the P.R. aspect of how the Leafs are viewed and how Burke has tried to deflect it, once again, speaks volumes for how out of touch with reality he is. Only in Toronto can you get away with this. In Montreal he would have been run out of town years ago. See Gauthier.
