TSN is reporting that Joe Nieuwendyk is going to meet with the Leafs brass this week in attempt to hammer out an agreement to join the front office.

This is a good move by Cliff to continue the trend around the league of bringing in recently retired, highly regarded NHL players to take on a management role..

There may be much more to this than just hiring Joe Nieuwendyk, but more on that tomorrow….
