He had speed and a superstar shot. He was a poster player for what made the NHL great during the 80's and 90's. The fact that he has religious convictions is as important to judging his hockey playing as his taste in poetry. He was an important part of the NHL his entire career, especially when he won MVP at the 1993 All Star Game in Montreal. Garts was a star! He had speed and a superstar shot.
