Steen sucked last night just like everyone else. Don't forget that Steen was the main reason why Kulemin had his chance in Detroit which he bagged for the winner. That came about b/c of Steen's forecheck.

Surprised at Stajan, not so much on Steen....regardless, disappointed in both. Two games is obviously too few to make a good assessment but, it will be interesting to see how Wilson deals with it....i.e. they are no better or worse than those not playing or and do nothing, send a message with some time in the press box. While I like Mitchell, I wouldn't be surprised if we see White in for him and skating with Steen and Stajan in the next game.

Anyway, 2 games, 1 good, 1 not so good....regardless, it's fun to watch Grabovsky/Hagman/Tlusty....that's what this year is all about.

PS: Mayers....was invisible until he got into a scrap...unfortunately it should have occurred after the Canadians 2nd goal, not their 6th.

I hate to admit it but Cox is bang on in his assessment of Stajan and Steen. They couldn't look or play any worse than what they have been playing. Keeping in mind we've seen them now in all of 2 NHL games. But the younger 'no name' players if you will are playing harder and trying maybe even too much imo hence the mistakes we are seeing.

I don't know what to make it of it. Again, only 2 games in so hopefully they will snap out it and quickly or RW will have them sitting in the press box in no time. At best they've earned 4th line minutes so far. At best.

One thing I will add, Jamal Mayers is going to be a fan favorite in no time. Tough as nails. Just wish he had a smidgen more skill.
