Congrats to Pogge on his first NHL win…Does he get another start? According to coach Wilson, “In my mind it’s a one-game situation”…oh well, would have been nice to see him play a couple before Christmas break. Even Cox agrees…
Burke was on 640 today and was his usual honest self on the topic of Pogge….”he certainly hasn’t earned the right to these games” when asked about the call up. He went on to talk about the knock on him is that he can play extremely well but gives up soft goals….but, he has a lot of what he likes to see in young goalies….size and athleticism…technique can be taught. Burke talked about the fact that it can take a long time for goalies to develop so thankfully, they will continue to be patient…and why not at this stage.
