The Score Hits The Big Time Exclusive North America NBA Highlight Deal

WOW…. I mean WOW!

The Score, the little network that can hit a homer, no a grand slam this morning.

The Score signed an exclusive deal with the NBA (yes, the national basketball association) to distribute daily highlights of NBA games (yes every game!) to mobile devices. The Score has an Iphone application and will be launching one for the blackberry too. Best part for you and me, and those who follow the NBA? Totally free. Of course there will be ads behind the content, but who cares, this is very cool. Brilliant folks and kudos to the Score for landing this deal

It’s the NBA..who cares? They can show you one highlight. Interchange the uniforms, plus or minus a few seconds on the clock, every highlight looks the same.

I already use their iphone app so this is good news. Hopefully this means there will be highlights for other sports on the way.

Oh they have exclusive access to the U.S. market too?

Wow!! That is impressive. The Little Network That Could.

I would take the nba playoffs over the nhl playoffs. I’ve been leaning that way ever since the lockout, and thank goodness for both the score and nba/raptor tv which show all of the great nba action. the fact we can get tnt in our canadian households to watch thursday night matchups is great. Charles Barkley and the gang at tnt are great to watch.
While the others argue of 25hr coverage of the nhl, the score sees an opportunity. In fact their prime time sports coverage with tim and sid with cabbie is cutting edge compared to the stuffed shirts at tsn.
