Word is that Toronto Maple Leafs Hockey Executive is now the head hauncho in Dallas. Joe nieuwendyk is the new GM of your Dallas Stars. This ends the two headed monster GM reign that saw Sean Avery land in Dallas.

No too sure about this move….What is it with Dallas and moving x-NHLers with little to no experience into the top job – don’t get me wrong, it wouldn’t surprise me if Joe ends up being a good GM one day but – he should probably spend a couple of years at least as an assistant to an experienced guy first….Not sure his short stint with the Leafs has prepped him for the top job yet.
