It’s Offical Shannon Gone From NHL

As we told you back on March 23, John Shannon and the NHL have parted ways. I hope this means he comes back to Prime Time Sports…He was always good on the radio with respect to issues surrounding the broadcast of hockey games. If the folks over at 640 were smart (hint hint) they would try to grab him as their tv guru!

Shannon has a very good reputation in the business, and I am not sure anyone out there knows more about hockey as it pertains to television.

Good luck John.

CBC should consider bringing him back…If not them, TSN or Sportsnet should grab him.

Shannon was decent as a guest co-host or roundtable guest on PTS…………at least he wasn’t afraid to give an opinion…………but of course he didn’t last too long because MLSE ended up banning him from working on PTS

Hey TSM,

I was just looking at The Fans website, and I noticed that Norm Rumack wasn’t scheduled for the late night show. I checked the show page and I couldn’t find him either. It looked like his show had been removed. Maybe you should check it out?

i guess it’s true that radio makes you sound 50lbs lighter …

bring him back on PTS, he was opinionated, clearly respected by McCown, provided a different perspective than the usual suspects, and could get through a whole sentence without mentioning Buffalo.
