Does this seem a bit premature to anyone else:

“Swedish free agent goaltender Jonas Gustavsson has decided to call Toronto home.

Gustavsson, who is nicknamed “The Monster,” is expected to sign a one-year deal with the Leafs”

That’s from TSN. To me that reads like they are reporting on something that has yet to happen yet wording it like it’s a sure thing.

Anyhow, if it’s true gj Burke. Guess that trip paid off.

I do not know anything about this dude other than all the hype I have read, but if he can play as well as everyone thinks, 900K for a back-up goalie who hopefully will push Toskala is not a bad deal.

Leafs get him for no roster player and get to match any offers he will get next year as a RFA…Pretty good work by the Leafs management group.

It’s now official,I wish we could store these new players away for another year, and crank Tank Nation up for one more season. One more top draft pick and I would feel more comfortable going forward
