Got stuck again today, here is the game of the night:

I was reading something on yesterday with regards to the Roy Halladay trade situation, and it suggested that if the Blue Jays are truly looking at contending next year, they could instead trade Brian Tallet right now for another bat given their surplus of lefties in the system. Interesting, I thought. Well, if that’s something that JP Ricciardi is looking at, he’d love for Tallet to boost his trade value with a win tonight in Tampa. Scott Kazmir — another lefty — gets the ball for the Rays. Tampa Bay has won ten of the last 12 matchups against Toronto at Tropicana Field.

I can’t believe Blair didn’t simply ask Ricciardi why they don’t just send BJ down and hope he re invents himself over the rest of the season and make a decision at spring training?

He’s getting paid anyway

The Ricciardi apologists (especially Wilner and Blair) are going to have a hard time defending him this time………….how many more financial mistakes (Frank Thomas contract, Vernon Wells contract, etc.) are they going to allow this guy to make?

The Jays would have sent him down if they could have, but BJ was contractually allowed to refuse a minor league assignment.

So it was either keep him on the ML roster, or release him.

OK, if that’s how it was, and he refused, he’s an ungrateful asshole

Would love your thoughts, please comment.x
