Bikini OTD Sports Radio Tonight-TSM TAKE

Here’s your bikini of the day from

On Fan 590 Tonight- thanks to Mike S.

– open phones with McCown from 4:05 to 4:40
– co-host from 5:00 to 7:00 is Bruce Arthur
– Steve Yzerman at 420
-Bob Elliott
– Bert Sugar
– Roundtable with Michael Grange

On 640 with Brady and Watters:

440 David Andrews, AHL Commissioner
510 Chris Rose, Host MLB on Fox (from STL)
540 Jacques Lemaire, Devils coach
6:10 – Mickey Ward – former boxer/sparing partner of Arturo Gatti and friend of Gatti’s

Mccown is back and not a minute to soon. I like when Arthur is on. I know it’s anti-Canadian but I am really quite tired of the Olympic hype already and it’s only July! Doc is on the Block, who better to talk about it than Bob Elliott. He’s a good guest and always sounds so grumpy, it’s quite funny. Bert Sugar, I may listen, a fighter’s wife killed him, allegedly. She allegedly got sick of his hangeroners 🙂 Grange is certainly a popular guy these days! Watters and Brady were on together for the lunch. Hmmmm, what up with the AHL that the boys want to talk to the boss- maybe to see how close to 7m he gets. More on Doc from Rose, who is good on the radio too. Lemaire, is he as boring an interview as he is a coach?

I mentioned to McCown via email that my favourite co-hosts are Brunt, Arthur, Blair and Smitty so I take full credit for Arthur playing second fiddle. 😀 I hate basketball but the talk between the two over Colangelo’s magic dealings was interesting to watch. (I like Grange too but I don’t think he’s ever been co-host with Bobcat (he’s done well with the host replacements) so they jury is out on that though I wouldn’t mind seeing that but he’s always welcome in the roundtable in my books.

I like Kelley but I don’t think the dynamic works as well as the other three. His hosting duties should be dead and buried. Blair is okay but his reading the scripted stuff needs some work.

Bruce Arthur is an excellent roundtable guest and he works well as a co-host with McCown too………….he is well-informed and he is entertaining

It’s funny you wrote that Lister, because I watched Prime Time today, and I was thinking about how good Arthur and Grange were. They both have a relatively youthful perspective and are very well informed, as Mike S said. Arthur in particular is good … you kind of feel like he’s Brunt 15 years ago.

One of the things I really like about Prime Time is how it us a chance to see some of these talented writers in a different medium. Maybe the Fan should try incorporating some of these young writers in other parts of the day instead of the same old tired stuff.

Also, I agree Brunt, Arthur, Blair, and Smith are the best on the show. Brunt being the best. I was enjoying the basketball talk today – the Raps may be Toronto’s only good team this year!

I like Elliott as a guest, he’s hilarious. The Blair scripted stuff doesn’t bother me that much, just helps to get through the transitions quickly.
