College of Sports Media Game of the Night:
The Toronto Blue Jays start the second half of their season hosting division rival and current division leader the Boston Red Sox for the first of a three gamer. Everyone and their brother wants to know about the status of Roy Halladay and whether or not he will be traded. If the Jays hope to play meaningful games in September they’ll need to ignore the trade rumours and keep their eyes on the prize. Toronto is 11 games out of first and a sweep of the Sox would be a great way to get things back in gear. Potential rookie of the year Ricky Romero (7-3) gets the call for the Blue Birds. In his last start he went eight strong in a no decision against the Baltimore Orioles. Boston counters with Clay Buchholz, who’s making his season debut. In two starts against the Jays, Buchholz is 0-2 with a 4.22 ERA.
