Sports free aint that bad

So I am up in Algonquin Park with the family for labour day. We are at a summer camp called Camp Tamakwa, which is pretty spectacular and pretty remote.

We have been here since 4pm yesterday and I have to admit that I have no clue what if anything has gone on in the world of sports. I haven’t read a paper, heard the news since I have been here. Balsillie could have won his case, JP could have recieved a contract extension, Chris Bosh could have signed a new deal deal and Tomas Kaberle could have Bren traded and I wouldn’t have a clue.

Ordinarily, that would have bothered me. I have to admit, sports free for over 34 hours and I feel good. I actually can’t wait to read Berger’s blog, loewen’s next column and listen to an entire jays talk show.

Seriously, out of touch, tuned out for a short spell, not so bad. In fact highly recommended.

Don’t listen to him – right now TSM is jones’ing for sports news. Don’t be surprised if he starts reporting on swim races between his kids. I bet he’s boated to all of the cottages near-by and asked to watch Sports Center.

I feel for mrs tsm right now.
