Where Should Maple Leafs Fans Look

So the boys took one on the chin again tonight. I am not surprised they lost to the Champs. I am stunned with the way they lost. The Ottawa game was ont thing. Back to back games with this total lack of effort from certain guys…… WOW

It’s hard not to think that maybe there is a bigger problem that needs to be considered….. If the guys aren’t playing up to potential and you can’t rightfully trade the players and the guys in the minors are no better who do you start to look at?

To me, their is one person to blame when the troops aren’t diving right in to the pool. If the players don’t show up as a group their is clearly a communication problem.

Vesa is a problem only in that the team in front of him has no conifidence in him. The rest of the team can’t play their game because they fear every mistake will end up in the net. That is when the most mistakes are usually made.

Right now they don’t need a coach who tells them they suck. They need really simple goals so they can gain some confidence. Getting out of town is usually a good remedy for this group.

It still remains very early. The Jays had a nice run at the start that didn’t mean anything in the end. 10 more games like tonight and Brian Burke has a big problem.

Right now the high fives in boston are everywhere. The bruins are loving every game.

The lack of a first round draft pick just really is the icing on the cake.

Well it sure isn’t the start I was hoping for. I honestly expected to be 2-2 right now. I think you nailed it when you said Toskala isn’t the problem…the only problem anyway. We need this team to play with the identity Burke was trying to express when he made the changes he did. Toughness and sound defense. It’s Wilson’s job to get them on board. The first step might be to stop bickering with the media and start getting them to play as a team. I think the buck stops with the coach.

Man, another tough one tonight. Looks like the Leafs could be headed for the first-overall pick in the draft… except our first rounder was shipped off in the Kessel deal.

Sigh.
