Why is the Fan so in love with some old hockey players figure skating? Am I missing something here?

Way off topic…

..but how bout the attendance at Phoenix tonight for their 2nd home game of the year? 6,800 – with apparently fewer than 5k in attendance. Yikes.

It’s funny that people will occasionally misinterpret the Jays terrible year as them being ‘in an Expos situation’. They’re not. And it’s not close to that. If you’re looking for a team in an Expos situation – look no further than the Coyotes. Could be a nassssty year there.

I don’t know if it’s fair to compare a a fans reaction and turnout for a team in bankruptcy court,to one that has healthy ownership and no talk(at this point) of moving the following year……………..on another point, Theo maybe explained his Stolkholm syndrome for hiring James, but he was never asked if he considered the danger he put the players in by exposing him to them.

I agree. That’s kind of my point. Phoenix is a seriously messy situation, pretty reminiscent of the Expos. The Jays are not close to that situation. However, I found this year there tended to be a lot of exaggeration from fans who felt the Jays are practically in the position that the Expos were near the end. It could conceivably happen, but there’s a long ways to go before people need to actually worry.
