College of Sports Media Game of the Night:
Nine days ago the Toronto Raptors were absolutely embarrassed in Atlanta as they were thumped 146-115 by the Hawks. Just how bad was it? The last time Atlanta scored that many points was 26 years ago when they beat Philadelphia 149-123. Adding to the shame was a two point effort from Chris Bosh and the fact that former coach Sam Mitchell watched from the second row as it all went down. Tonight the Raptors (10-14) get a chance at some redemption when they welcome the Hawks (15-6) to the ACC. The good news – Sam Mitchell will not be in attendance. The bad news – Atlanta is on a three game winning streak and has beaten Toronto the last five of six times. The Raptors had won three straight going into their game in Milwaukee against the Bucks on Wednesday night. The streak ended with a 117-95 loss. Chris Bosh had another strong game. He scored 26 points and pulled down 10 boards for his league leading 20th double-double. The same night the Hawks took down the Chicago Bulls 118-83. Atlanta trails the Orlando Magic by a game and a half in the Southeast division. They’re sixth in the league in scoring (104.38) and defensively are allowing less then a hundred points a game.
