College of Sports Media Game of the Night:
The Toronto Maple Leafs cross the Rainbow Bridge to battle the Buffalo Sabres at HSBC Arena tonight. Yesterday Leaf coach Ron Wilson ripped into his team, but more specifically tore into his star player Phil Kessel. Kessel hasn’t scored a goal in ten games and over that period is a minus eight. Toronto is coming off a 6-2 lop-sided loss to the Philadelphia Flyers on Wednesday night. The Leafs gave up a four power play goals and were flat the entire game. This will be there fifth meeting with the Sabres and Buffalo has simply dominated Toronto thus far. They won the first four games this season and a W tonight would give the Sabres ten straight wins over the Leafs. Buffalo is riding a five game winning streak coming into this one. On Wednesday the Sabres scored three goals within the first two minutes of the game and cruised to a 5-3 win over the Tampa Bay Lightning. We’ll see if Kessel and the Leafs respond to the Wilson’s tongue lashing or if the Sabres continue to take advantage of their rivals to the North.
