Toronto Sports Media Game of the Night

College of Sports Media Game of the Night:

Tonight the Toronto Maple Leafs make their only appearance in Music City as they battle the Nashville Predators at the Sommet Centre. The last two games for Toronto is a perfect example of how schizophrenic the Leafs have been this season. On Thursday night they put the boots to a red-hot Philadelphia Flyers team, blanking them 4-0. The very next night they were on the other side of the beating, getting thumped 6-1 by the Washington Capitals. It’s been really tough to figure them out. Nashville on the other hand has no problems with it’s identity. They’re coming off a successful three trip into Western Canada, winning each game and have moved to the fourth spot in the Western Conference. The Predators biggest problem is a situation each team, including the Leafs would love to have – which of their two hot goaltenders should get the start. Both Pekka Rinne and Dan Ellis have been playing some really good hockey. Rinne has won four out of his last five starts. Ellis is 3-2 in his last five, including a 22 save 1-0 shut out of the Calgary Flames on Friday night. While Nashville fans debate about  which goaltender should start, Leafs fans wonder which team will show up.
