College of Sports Media Game of the Night:
It’s a battle between two of the most coveted 2010-free agents tonight in South Beach as LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers tangle with Dwyane Wade and the Miami Heat. Cleveland comes into this one sporting the best record in the Association and have reeled off four straight wins. Saturday night King James dropped 37 points and one dime away from a triple double (9 assists and 12 boards) in leading his team to a one point win over the Oklahoma Thunder. It was the second straight game James scored 37. On Thursday night James reached that total as the Cavs edged the West-leading LA Lakers 93-87. Miami come into this one winners of two straight and trailing Cleveland by 10 games. The Heat played back-to-back games on Friday and Saturday night. Friday Wade scored 32 points and the Heat torched the Washington Wizards 112-88 in the US Nation’s capital. Wade kept things up the next night at home scoring 27 as Miami crowned Sacramento 115-84. Wade and James have played each other a combined 20 times before tonight and James has the edge 11-9. At the end of the season that number may be irrelevant. If the Olympic teammates get their way – they’ll be playing together causing problems for the rest of the league.
