College of Sports Media Game of the Night:
Four medals to be had on Day 11 of the Winter Games in Vancouver. Canada’s best bet for a medal today is in ice dancing. Last night the pair of Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir rocked the original dance segment of their event and they’re on to the free skate tonight. With over a two point edge on the number two team things are looking golden for this duo. In cross country skiing both the Men’s and Women’s team sprint semi-finals and finals go down today. Over to the ski jump teams will need two jumps to determine who wins what in the team large hill competition. In Women’s hockey, the ladies have reached the semi-finals and Canada will take on Finland. Should the Canadians win they would face either the US or Sweden in the finals. Sticking to the ice, Kevin Martin and his rink battled their cross-border rivals today, beating the US 7-2. On the Women’s side, Cheryl Bernard lost her first match on home soil last night to the Chinese. She’s back at it again tonight when her rink goes broom-to-broom with Sweden. Finally, action returns to Cypress Mountain with the qualification round in Men’s aerials.
