So hear I sit, with my Rogers Cable on the fritz catching up on lots of reading. Did anyone notice that in today’s Toronto Sun for example that the Toronto Maple Leafs didn’t appear until page 13 or 14????
In any event, there is one article that I read today that I think is a must read for sports fans in Toronto. Richard Griffin has an interview with Toronto Blue Jays rookie general manager Alex Anthopoulos that is tremendous. The one thing as a fan I have always wished for the press to provide us with is the information we don’t get all the time. It’s easy to get soundbites here or there, but I love reading pieces where you actually get to learn something about the subject matter. The other brilliant thing about this piece, which I think is very rare, is that it appears to an entire interview. How many times do we hear the subject matter complain after the fact that a comment was taken out of context? In this case it appears that Griffin has transcribed the interview with Anthopoulos. Personally, I think the best part is when Griffin asks Anthopoulos to define a lie…..
