Toronto Sports Media Game of the Night

College of Sports Media Game of the Night:

The Toronto Raptors chance of making it into the playoffs took a serious blow last night – and this one was to the face. in the first quarter of their 113-101 loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers, Raptors forward and season-long piggy-backer took an Antawn Jameson elbow to the nose. Bosh left the game and now it’s being reported he suffered a “maxilla and nasal fracture to the right side of the face” (translation: things got broken on the right side of his noodle). Bosh didn’t travel with the team out of Cleveland and his availability for the rest of the season (and the rest of his career) is unknown. The only good thing coming out of last night was that the ninth place Chicago Bulls lost 79-74 to the Milwaukee Bucks and remain a game back of Toronto for that final playoff spot in the East. The Bulls are off tonight before taking on the Cavaliers on Thursday night. The same cannot be said for Toronto. They’re back at the ACC to battle division rival, the Boston Celtics. The Celtics have beaten the Raps seven straight times. Although Boston typically dominates Toronto, they have hit a rough patch as of late. They’ve lost four of five, including a 104-101 defeat at the hands of the lowly New York Knicks last night. Drama is at an all time high for the Raptors. They’ve got five games left, potentially no Bosh and their postseason on the line. In the immortal words of Tallahassee (Woody Harrelson) in Zombieland, – ‘Time to nut up, or shut up’.
