College of Sports Media Game of the Night:
All the games being played tonight in the NHL postseason are of ‘do-or-die’ variety. The Boston Bruins have a 3-2 lead over the Buffalo Sabres and are looking to close out the series at home. While both the Chicago Blackhawks and Washington Capitals are on the road trying to advance to two round. The Blackhawks are in Nashville looking to make tonight when the music dies for the Predators, while the Caps are in la Belle Province, looking to end the Montreal Canadiens playoff run. Of the three my attention will be on our side of the border. Granted there were some fireworks going off between the Bruins and the Sabres at the end of game five, but tonight looks like it may end up being tightly contested, ending in a 1-0 fashion. Chicago is fun to watch, especially following what happened at the end of their game six (not a fight like in Buffalo, but pretty awesome nonetheless). I just like how the series has played out between the Caps and Habs. It started with some smack talk and has progressed from there. There’s been a ton of scoring (that was expected) and all four goalies have seen action as well (that was expected as well). So tonight will Alex the Great and the Capitals put an end to Montreal’s season or will Tomas Plekanec and the Habs live another day?
