If the flying feet featured on So You Think You Can Dance or TNA Wrestling aren’t riveting enough for your Thursday night viewing, nuke a bag of popcorn and check out ESPN’s live coverage of LeBron James announcing where he will play the 2011-2012 season. The one-hour special starts at 9 p.m.
Miami, Cleveland? Who will be the winner? The lone guaranteed victor of the night is funding for the Boys and Girls Clubs of America. James slected the Greenwich, Connecticut location for tonight’s media madness to help raise funds for the group, which he supports.
Another interesting wrinkle heading into tonight’s decision is James’ involvement in a paternity case. In a twist on the usual situation, this time it’s the NBA player who is purportedly the child instead of the father. Jeremy Sandler’s piece in today’s National Post cites sources claiming 55-year-old Leicester Bryce Stovell wants recognition as the father of LeBron James.
Looks like it’s a night for the really big bag of popcorn…
