Toronto Sports Media Game of the Night

Atlanta Hawks (3-0, 2-0 away) @ Cleveland Cavaliers (1-2, 1-1 home)

Line: ATL by 3.5

Total: 190.5

The Hawks remain a top four team in the East, while the Cavs got smacked by the Raps by 20 points. Cleveland get PG Mo Williams back tonight, but SF Antawn Jamison will not be in the lineup tonight. Replacing is Jamario “Please Don’t Shoot” Moon, expect Hawks SF Marvin Williams to have a big night tonight.

Take Atlanta -3.5

Boston Celtics (2-1, 0-1 away) @ Detroit Pistons (0-3, 0-1 home)

Line: BOS by 6.5

Total: 188

While the Rule of Three would indicate that the Pistons are due for a win, this years Pistons are not your early 2000s Pistons and the farthest thing possible from the Bad Boys of the late 80’s and early 90’s. Look for Boston’s trio of Garnett, Jermaine O’Neal and Glen Davis to try and take it hard into the paint on most possessions and out rebound a much thinner and inexperienced Pistons front-court.

Celtics in an easy road win.

Minnesota Timberwolvers (1-2, 0-1 away) @ Miami Heat (3-1, 1-0 home)

Line: MIA by -16

Total: 192.5

This game reminds me of a cold night on January 22, 2006, when a terrible Raptors squad went to Los Angeles and a “little” known player named Kobe Bryant lit up the Raptors for 81 points that evening (Mike James lead the Raps with 26 pts and 10 assists). Tonight could be the night that LeBron leaves his mark on the NBA record books, this guy is hungry for everyone to love him again and what better way to make people love you again then filling up the basket like you’re playing one versus five (It worked for that Bryant guy).
