Washington Wizards (5-11, 0-8 away) @ Toronto Raptors (6-11, 4-4 home), ACC on Sportsnet, 7:00 PM
Line: TOR by 4.5
Reason To Watch: The Raptors No.1 pick PF Ed Davis is making his debut tonight. After missing the first 17 games, Davis had two games of 10 points and 5 rebounds in the D-League. Davis’s father played in the NBA for over 10 years, so that should have a significant impact in helping him with the ups and downs of his first NBA season.
The Wizards will be without PG John Wall again tonight. Which sucks cause he’s so talented but Gilbert Arenas usually lights up the Raps, so that always fun to watch.
Andrea Bargnani should have a big night, when he lines up against the Syracuse, New York version of himself in Andray Blatche. AB (Italia) averages 20.8 pts, 5.1 rbg, and 0.9 bpg shooting .396 from the three point line, while AB (Cuse) averages 16.6 points, 8.1 rbg, 0.6 bpg shooting .364 for three. Both stand around seven feet tall and both don’t like to play defense.
This game is going to come down to which team just wants it more and who’s shots are falling. Both squads are equally talented (or crap, however you look at it) but the swingman in this one could be Wiz centre JaVale McGee. McGee averages 9.8 pts 8.7 bpg and 2.7 bpg and is a more athletic version of Joakim Noah.
