Denver Nuggets (13-8, 3-7 away) vs Toronto Raptors (8-14, 6-5 home) @ ACC on TSN, 7:00 PM ET
Line: DEN by 2
Reason To Watch: The Raptors are much better then craptacular this season, which can’t be said about the Leafs. If Raymond Felton had not broken out a move he probably learnt at Rucker Park in the last three months, the Raps would have had a huge road win in New York.
Andrea Bargnani has taken his game to a whole new level and is even getting love from the host on ESPN ( I’m down south, and haven’t changed the channel since I got here). Bargnani is certainly playing like a 10 million dollar player, with Ed Davis showing a willingness to do the dirty work in the paint, these two could complement each other for years to come.
Ed Davis has been a revelation for the Raps. After years of bone headed big men like (Arjaujo, Mike Bradley) nice to see a rookie have an immediate impact. Davis is averaging 6 pts and 6 rbg and giving Amir Johnson a real run for playing time.
Johnson, who’s no stranger to fighting for playing time, has really thrived in the last three games. Johnson’s averaged 17 points and 11.3 rebounds while shooting .688 from the floor.
With two first round picks (see that Burky, TWO PICKS) and several key players under 25, the Raps are moving in the right direction. Adding a player like Duke’s Kyle Singler could really push Toronto to being a real contender in the next couple of years.
