Excellent interview with the Goldwater CEO. Segments like that really seperate PTS from the rest of sports radio.

Bobcat totally nails the macro stuff, really has shades of the Bob Costas Later show or even some early Tom Snyder.Way more interesting then “third line depth” type of jock talk.

Totally agree with Daniel… as I stated in a previous post yesterday McCown and Brunt are the best….they ask the right questions that we would all want to to know…good for PTS…they get all the best guests…

The 4:40 PTS Segment is completely useless. Guests have 3 or 4 minutes before they are told to wrap up or played out by the music. Alas, this would be the perfect place to put 1 of the many nauseating hockey (relocation or head hits) topics.

True, miracle.

I heard a segment on the watters show (I think) the other day, that was basically ‘what do you think of Tyler Bozak?’

Nothing wrong with that question, but its not really exciting radio unless you’re a really hardcore fan.

McCowns macro stuff have always been my favourite topics.

I always love the segments with Bert Randolph Sugar, makes me pine for the days where Boxing was not in the doldrums.

Parry is right………..it doesn’t make sense to have a guest for the 4:40 PM segment on PTS because it is way too short…………..apparently they have to make room for the business report and then for Don Cherry & Brian Williams

They should think about scrapping the guest in that segment and instead have a short discussion to tee up the guests that are coming up in the next hour

@Mike S

Totally agree with that suggestion.

Exactly Parry, like I mentioned on Monday show with Zaun being on, it is pointless to have a guest on at that time. I would agree with Mike S but it would seem strnage having a host talk segment in top of hour, guest and than another host talk. But not what other options are.

An interview with the Goldwater CEO from Phoenix. The two meathead hosts will make you appreciate McCown and Brunt:
