I am a big Jays fan, but I thought PTS was excellent tonight. A lot of thoughtful, quality interviews – no grouchy shooting the breeze..
Yes it was an excellent show with the weakest segment being the one with Perkins. I really enjoyed the interviews with Farrel, Bautista and Arencibia.
I am not a fan of baseball at all but I am a fan of good sports radio and I have to agree that Friday’s PTS was very good…………..when McCown leaves the studio (like he did for the Olympics) he seems to be more inspired and less bored
Also, I enjoyed hearing Cox fill in as main host for McCown while he was on vacation earlier this week…………of course having Brunt as co-host always helps……………in the past 590 has had many mediocre fill-ins when McCown was away (Toth, Millard, Farraway, Faulds, etc)………….Blair was better than all of them but I thought Cox was just as good or even better than Blair
Totally agree with Mike S…..looking forward when they move to their new studio in the next week or so….Cox along with Brunt really bring a new fresh perspective to the show……Fridays show from to Rodgers Center was outstanding …TSN has a lot of work just to keep up with PTS…
Agreed, great show on Friday… and its not like McCown et al had to pull it out of them – the players were honest and forthright. Nonetheless the questions were good and elicited interesting answers.
