Hey Elliotte Friedman was on the roundtable. Wasn’t he banned from that by CBC?

If Friedman would ever leave CBC (I would imagine it would be doubtful) he’d be an amazing replacement for afternoons.

Funnier moment of the show whlie listening to it on the radio, they talked about how everybody needs a change sometimes (perfessoinal life) after so much time doing the same thing. You can jus sense the awkwardness of everything looking at McCown lol.

For me the biggest media story of the week (okay after Krystal firing) was the reactoin to the Raptors first round pick. Where almost to the a man what considered the “basketball guys” support thie pick (some more than others) but are understanding and think it can be good

While general sports guys are almost to a man against the pick. It really shows the extremes on both sides. The presser from Colangelo got pretty intense when somebody named Steve (Simmons?) really went hard on how he’s selling the same exact words that he did after last season and how does he expect fans to buy into this.

McCown explained it well, he said he was okay with it, But his opinion of not wanting to draft a european player has nothing to do with nationality, it has to do with a system he been playing and an NCAA system is more proven. Agree with that, the “basketball guys” seem to spin it as “dumb fans hating foreigners”

Recently Friedman has been a PTS roundtable guest a few times a year, usually after the hockey season is over………… is refreshing to hear him because he can talk intelligently about several different sports………’s too bad he is not a roundtable guest more often

Banned might be the wrong word, but CBC didn’t want one of their personalities appearing as a cohost on a Sportsnet show, I think.

Would love your thoughts, please comment.x
