Another Week of vacation for almost every host. Looks like I’m done with the fan. If they can’t find adept fill-ins during baseball season, then why take a vacation in the first place. I know working 2-3 hours a day is really hard and requires months off of work.

It was pretty strange to hear Joey Vendetta interview Jason Cole of Yahoo! Sports this morning only a couple of hours after Cole had been a guest on Brady’s show…………….it brings new meaning to the term “summer reruns”

I’d rather have McCown back for the start of hockey training camp, the NFL season and the baseball stretch drive and postseason rather than have him around right now when there isn’t much going on.

Everything that needed to be said about the 2011 Jays has already been said and now outside of Bautista’s potential run at the AL MVP, we wait for the start of NFL football and the NHL season and we’ll have everyone back from vacation for it.

The only thing that I find weird is how they don’t even bring in a guest host when Lang is on vacation. Are they afraid that any random scribe could probably upstage him?

I know it’s a bit off topic, but now that the Leafs have started informal workouts I’m reminded of the absence of the local beat writer. Does anyone know what’s become of Howard Berger since his dismissal from 590? Has he caught on anywhere or was he banished to a career of writing blogs regarding fictional hockey trades?
