the worst part about the Joh Farrell story is how the Boston media/fans basically assume that he’d prefer to manage in Boston than Toronto. Have they seen the mess that is their franchise lately? I’d rather have Beeston as a boss than John Henry or Larry Luchino right now, and i’d rather manage the pitching staff that doesn’t get drunk in the clubhouse during their off days.

Griffin had a nice angry piece about this in the Star.

Dowbiggin wrote this on Twitter last night:

“Name another union doesn’t enforce workplace safety like NHLPA? No visors makes it hard to sympathize when players like Pronger hit in eye”

And Al Strachan responded with this:

“@dowbboy PA is not a union. People who cross picket lines such as yourself may not know that. And some players feel less safe with a visor”

Yay Brunt! 😀

Also if Farrell DID leave, and if (again, IF) the Jays got Francona, would that change the idea that Brunt and Bob were positing, that if he left it would make the Jays look small-time? o:

Would love your thoughts, please comment.x
