I remember drawing that mask many, many times. First goalies in my Leafs memory – Favell and Dunc Wilson.

And don’t forget that Favell and Wilson were part of a 3 headed monster, with Wayne Thomas as the 3rd goalie. I think Thomas was deemed #1, while Favell and Wilson fought for the back up role. Not sure what came of that by season’s end. Anyone remember?

The three-headed monster was Favell, Wilson and Gord McRae. Wilson was waived before the end of the season.
The next season (75-76), Thomas then joined Favell (with McRae).

Two additional things that I remember about then – how odd it seemed to me (as a 6-yr old) to be named “Dunc”, and how hard “Favell” was to pronounce.

Interesting Kyle. The year prior, they also had a 3 headed goalie system in (73-74) – Favell, Wilson, and Eddie Johnston. It wasn’t until 75-76 that a true starter was in place with Wayne Thomas (McRae backing him up).
