BOB went on the offensive over “sidgate”acutally his defence of what went down sounded compelling,TSM you might have made the right call,time will tell.BOB said he was done with the subject but i think he is just getting warmed up,hopefully it is the start of an all out fued…

I think, as usually happens with typical sports fans, there has been much knee jerk reaction about the whole Bob-Crosby situation. Listening to Bob’s rebuttal right now, and love him or hate him, the guy has been in the biz a long time, and he’s no dope. He’s not going to spout this crap without having evidence to fall back on.
The last group of people I would side with are the Penguins. They’re gonna cover their ass as much as possible.

Was great radio today listenting to Bob basically call out the Penguins and other members of as he put it “our industry”. Anyone else think that the segment would have been even better if McCown was co hosting with Grange or Elliotte Friedman in place of John Shannon? or even Richie Rich himself Doug “Burlington Mercedes” MacLean.

I don’t think Bob ever said “fracture.” It was an “abnormality.” I’m not sure where the fracture thing came from or who said it first … but regardless, we’re talking semantics here. Bob essentially reported that Sydney had an issue with the C1 and C2 vertebrae that the Pens appeared to have missed in their initial exams and that those vertebrae issues are possibly what’s been holding him back. That, as far as I can tell, is what the Pens confirmed yesterday and Saturday night.

Bob pointed out they they said “injury” instead of “fracture” because they were under the gun and didnt have time to feel 100% in saying the latter.

Shannon was good to have today, since he was there when all these tals were occurring on sat.

Did something happen to Ray Ferraro?
2 times this week on Twitter, Kypreos and Greg Brady posted about how great a guy Ray Ferraro is. You don’t normally see people from Sportsnet giving kudos to people who work for TSN.
Just curious is all. Enjoy your day:)

Ami can you translate your last post so an old guy like me can understand it?i’m still in the pac-man era…

Just curious, but has someone informed Bob as to the spelling of Crosby’s first name?

How come that mistake was not noted by the media? For chrissakes, he spelled it with a ‘y’ instead of a ‘i’ when referring to the most famous hockey player in the world. It just shows his lack of knowledge when it comes to hockey.

It is spelled “Sidney” on Penguin,s roster web page!

Ray Ferraro is the latest hockey personality to poke fun at Dion Phaneuf. Only unlike Scott Hartnell (he of “Suck it, Phaneuf” while micd up during the NHL All-Star game) Ferraro’s shot at the Toronto Maple Leafs’ captain wasn’t intended for you or I to hear.

Maple Leafs blog Pension Plan Puppets snagged a clip of Ferraro mocking Phaneuf’s high pitched voice during Tuesday night’s game between the Maple Leafs and Pittsburgh Penguins. TSN’s live coverage cut to commercial, but Ferraro and the rest of the broadcast team remained (unknowingly) live for NHL GameCenter Live’s online broadcast.

@Mike S: thank you!!
