The opening segment on today’s PTS with Bobcat and Tim and Sid aka “Sam and Ted” was awesome radio… Bob was asking them why the left The Score to join Rogers… great stuff in there…… Bob did mention how he was impressed with how they both handled themselves on the roundtable recently… they are a huge step up over the usuals i.e. Gord Kirke, John Shannon, and James Deacon…..

We’ll see whose on the Roundtable tomorrow…

Also TSN Radio 1050 still hasnt done anything to improve the drive home show….. right now the strongest lineup they have is on the weekends with Mike Hogan, Dave Naylor, and Matt Cauz

What happened to the print media doing their own homework, their own interviews and their own grunt work?

Burke gives a radio interview, and every paper and website simply quote what he said. You can open any paper and see the exact same words, which we heard on the radio the day before.

Same goes with an interview done by a tv reporter of a Jay pitcher. I watch him say that he had a wife and kid at home and had to do what he could to earn a living. Then I get to read it on most websites and newspapers.

Get your own stuff!

The Tim and Sid interview was vintage McCown. His prying about why they left was great. He really has a knack for knowing what the audience wants to hear sometimes.

TSN radio drive home show generally has a better variety of guests and more interesting ones, not the same old FOB.

My favorite part of the Tim and Sid with McCown was when they both wanted to brag (but not sure how to) that their Score Tonight highlight show was getting equal ratings on what was on SN highlight show, even though they were on a rinky dink channel.
