Can’t wait for Bruce Arthur’s column on this story……
http://www.theglobeandmail.com/sports/olympics/saudi-arabia-allows-its-female-athletes-to-compete-at-london-2012/article2379884/
good roundtable today.
Shannon seemed more or less low key with Brunt and Elliott there.
Perhaps a whole show with just hockey, football and 1 blue jays segment was a little too strictly sports for my taste.
‘Strictly Sports’? As apposed 2?????????????
What do you want Bruce Arthur to say?
And if this is back to the “cowardly” thing, what do you believe he thinks in his head but is afraid to say on paper? o:
Despite Brunt and Friedman, and the plethora of interesting sports news this week, I thought the roundtable was rather lame.
Shannon was just horrid on Hockeycentral @ noon this week and just awful again on PTS as was Freidman lame is right. Shannon really really needs to be let go he is not popular with listeners it appears or his co workers at 590 – anyone hear Mclean rip goggles a new one earlier in the week? lol
Here’s hoping that Sportsnet brings back Bill Watters when his contract is up at 640. I miss the old koot Uncle Wilbur tells it like it is and his Leafs commentary is objective.
If Bill and Bob are still buddies Watters would be a great on PTS Bob & Bill had excellent chemistry together back in the day. I think they should still be friends Watters starting his own show @ 4pm @ 640 ultimately helped grow the Toronto radio sports media market making them both all the more wealthy as an end result. Sportsnet 590 could even reunite Marek & Watters again.
Man, why does Shannon keep interrupting with stupidity. And he interrupts Bob quite a bit when Bob is trying to make a point… Shut up!
@ Sam, the answer is the same as why does a dog lick himself?
anyone catch Don Landry on TSN Radio apparently he joined as a weekend host
Oh, going back to Thursday, did anybody catch Alan Ashby sounding hurt that Bob attributed his phrase of “four A guy” to Zaun? Ashby quickly told Bob that that’s a widely used phrase when Bob praised it and said Zaun came up with it. In the past Bob has said Ashby’s come up with it…
Poor Ashby 🙁
Bert Sugar died. There is no measuring how much that sucks.
What? D:
omg Dx
🙁
Rest in Peace Bert Randolph Sugar… you will be missed 🙁
RIP BERT! You will be missed truly a gentalmen
Mudhar’s transition from covering video games to being a media analyst has been painful, but it’s getting a little better:
http://www.thestar.com/sports/tvradio/article/1151788–mudhar-maple-leafs-gm-brian-burke-in-eye-of-media-storm-as-another-dismal-season-winds-down
he still has a long way to go, but since the competition is Dowbiggin i can see why there has been little incentive to improve.
Chef Mike making an appearance on Humble and Fred on the podcast, Monday March 26, gotta saw something good about TorontoSportsMedia!
