Is anyone else getting sick of Bob’s hatred for Colby Rasmus? Like does he friggin watch baseball at all? Does he know Rasmus’s stats when he batted 2nd for the Cardinals and what his stats are when batting there for the Jays are? He is seriously getting passed over with his lack of knowledge for everyday sports.

I still love PTS, and find Bob’s big picture or business analysis really interesting.

But as a nuts and bolts baseball analyst, he’s woefully outdated. I view him as a fan when I listen, not an expert.

To be fair I guess, most of the Canadian sports media is pretty outdated with their baseball analysis too. Guys like the Getting Blanked/DJF bloggers at The Score, Wilner, John Lott … (and maybe guys like Blair/Davidi) are really the only guys who seem to really be able to grasp and analyze the statistics.

I will say that Bob does seem to be trying a bit adopting a more modern baseball analysis. He seems to have stopped mentioning stuff like pitcher wins (which nobody really looks at anymore).

I am a huge fan of the Euro & World Cups of soccer and so are a lot of other Canadians the TV ratings are always excellent. As far as radio goes which station can soccer fans expect to do a better job of Euro Cup coverage TSN1050 or FAN590? I already know that McCown can be a an ignorant unprofessional ass who constantly bashes the sport of soccer so i don’t expect to hear much if any Euro Cup coverage on his show.

I think TSN is carrying the games, based on a spot they were running on Monday during Cybulski’s show. I don’t know who their footy analysts.

As I said the other day, you have Blair, Sid and Brunt who are all footy fans, so you can expect some talk on the Blair and Sid shows, especially since the games will be going on during their timeslots.

It’s possible Bob might take more vacation and his ignoring of it will be mitigated.

Yeah, between Brady, Blair, Sid and Brunt, there’s plenty of soccer guys on The Fan.

Would love your thoughts, please comment.x
