Tonight on Sportsline:
Has the MLB Home Run Derby run its course of interest—has it become boring? Will the Blue Jays new starting rotation keep Toronto in contention for the AL Wildcard? Can Roger Federer win multiple Grand Slams after claiming his latest at Wimbledon and is former Celtic Ray Allen a traitor for signing with the Miami Heat? This plus ‘The Hebsys’ with Mark & Bubbs tonight at 7 on CHCH.
Bob is 100% correct today. While talking with Hiestand he told him to start watching HBO’s new show called ‘Newsroom’, he said it is the best show on TV right now and he is correct. Also was talking with Rovell and he doesn’t make the switch to ESPN till early August, said they were going to try and work out some deal to keep him as their Business guy!
The only exemption i know of regarding espns radio policy was people from mnf being on kornheisers local radio show. But then, tk was an espn guy, woth mnf and pti, just not radio at the time.
Double duty for grange today. He must be everyones summer fill in.
Zaun apparently forgot they used to have a defensive event, but barry larkin got hurt doing it.
I hope they work something out as I find the business side of sports conversations more interesting (Glendale excepted) than their actual sports talk – especially as it is clear Bob doesn’t watch many sports. Rovell is also more interesting in general than most regulars.
I love that Bob loves The American President. More proof that we’re meant to be wedded in vampire bliss XD
Did somebody from Rogers tell Bob to stop calling the Rogers Centre “the Skydome, formerly known as the Rogers Centre” or did he finally give in and call it what it’s now named? Because it suddenly hit me today that he just calls it the Rogers Centre now…
No, Bob will occasionally say Skydome… depends on his mood… and nice to hear he likes Newsroom, great show… And I agree, I’d rather have Rovell on 590 than 1050. More in his element.
