Should the Blue Jays add to their starting pitching staff by making a deal with the Cubs for Matt Garza or Ryan Dempster? Are the NHL’s Players Association laughing at the owners first offer in the leagues CBA discussions? Should the Knicks match the Rockets offer sheet for Jeremy Lin and has Rob Gronkowski crossed the line with his wild off the field antics?
This plus ‘The Hebsys’ with Mark & Bubbs tonight at 7 on CHCH.
That was one bad PTS IMO
Yet, you still listened to it all.
I liked the break from the usual FOB rotation, for the most part.
Its also nice that they didnt just stick to hockey talk with friedman there.
How would he know it’s bad if he didn’t listen to it?
The problem is that Friedman and Madani are too much alike. Both are articulate, knowledgeable sports guys without much pizzazz – which is why half of the audience drove off the road, nodding off to sleep.
Partnered with a more entraining co-host, they would be fine, but certianly not together.
I did notice that they were very similar. They even sound kind of similar, and they have similar intonations. xD
On the bright side, neither of their voices hurt my ears like Damien Cox’s (when he gets aggravated, which is often), Shannon or Blair. But they were kinda boring in interaction. :\ At least yesterday. It’s just one day, they may hit their stride.
I think Friedman would make a good host with Brunt as co-host though because his style would allow Brunt to probably expound on a lot of issues and that’s what Brunt is really good at. 🙂
Alternatively, since Brunt is fish-murdering… Grange would be a good co-host with Friedman.
I don’t think Brunt or Grange is the answer – in fact they should stick to writing and keep the hell off the air.
I know a lot of people don’t like him but Brady would be great with Friedman. Then again, it seems Friedman has had his sense of humour sucked out of him. I suppose that happens to everyone who works at the Communist Broadcasting Corp (aka the CBC).
