did Cox troll TSM but pretending to agree to answer questions and then blowing it off?

  • comment-avatar

Yeah, what was up with that? I think I had a question, but it was so long ago I forgot what it was.

  • comment-avatar

No. I got so many answers I need to pare them down. It’s 100% on me

Friedman’s attempts at comic timing was so unfortunate today 🙁 First, his Kristen Stewart joke failed because Brunt couldn’t hear him and took his question straight. Then, trying to tell his story about Randy Myers and the guy on the couch went really badly because Friedman kept going back on what he said to correct himself, and he couldn’t really remember what people were saying, and by the time the story was painfully over, the punchline wasn’t even funny. :\ I felt kinda bad for him.

PTS has had weird probs for all of elliotts 2 weeks hosting.

Lots of guest shuffling, including promoting blair for two segments and never getting him on.

Also kinda odd that zeisberger introduces himself to the guest every segment of his first questipn.

But i think hes been a decnt co-host. They should bill this week as “guys we expect to be working hete sooner rather than later.” 🙂

I wonder if something like what is happening with Friedman happened with Brunt and that’s why Brunt has it in his contract that he never hosts the show. It’s not as if Friedman isn’t intelligent or entertaining, it’s just if he has to do that on top of the formalities of hosting a show it seems to fall off the rails a bit. You can tell because the segments with Tim and Sid are great entertainment, and they are that way because the three of them are there as equals and with their history they just feed off each other. In segments with co-hosts, guests or callers, he seems a bit too uptight and nervous. It feels like he’s trying to live up to an expectation that he can’t reach because it just isn’t how he is. There’s no shame in being a support guy, Brunt is just as good at being a support guy as Bob is at hosting. It seems as though Friedman is the same way.
