Even my 10 year old daughter said to me, ‘Daddy can you mute that annoying man squealing on tv”

And then Shannon while discussing Fred McGriff said he had over 500 homeruns (he had 493) and he also said he had a great run with the New York Mets whom he never played for.

I thought it was bad And Then found out it was Cox.

I do feel for shannon. That parking lot story was bogus.

It is just a slap in the public’s face to have shannon on PTS in any capacity !

Nope, he said it, he is simply useless, until there is a deal in the CBA he should be MIA and even then he should just stick with his gardening at home and bug his wife.

I dont know how many people purposefully want to hear a bad segment. I mean unless its a round table w cox and shannon and maclean, you cant necessarily predict ahead of time a segments quality.

God I played the podcast in bed (insomniac). Also loved that they called SOCAN “the musicians union”. WTF????

After all the raving about Josh Johnson and Mark Buehrle, Pat Gillick said on PTS they were both number 3 pitchers. Wilner said Johnson was a number 1 pitcher. Wilner also said Adeiny Hechavarria was the best defensive shortstop in the game??!!

The problem with Shannon isn’t really that he doesn’t know that much about other sports. Most of the personalities they have on PTS specialize only in one or a couple sports. His problem is that if he’s not sure about something, he states it as fact, and then will continue stating it even if you question him on it until you disprove him. Rather than going “wait, I’m not really sure, I think I won’t say anything definitive”, he’ll just speak it as if he knows.
