Can the Ticats succeed with Kent Austin assuming the Head Coach and General Manager duties? Did the Blue Jays give up too much in their trade with the NY Knicks for R.A. Dickey? Was the ‘Bills In Toronto’ series a success and should Rogers continue the agreement? This plus the Hebsys with Mark and Bubba today at 5, on CHCH
For those that talked about it last time, theres an 1050 episodeof The Reporters at 7:00 pm.
Who knows what will happen in 2013, but I recall getting in some debates in here about the Jays when I was applauding AA for turning around the minor league system. There was a fair bit of ‘so AA developed a good system. So what? Most won’t pan out’. I think we’re seeing the value of meticulously retooling a farm system now. Trades for three starting pitchers who threw 200 IP last year.
Again, could blow up in Toronto’s face, but these moves couldn’t have been made without AAs solid system and minor league work the last three years.
