Please, let there not be 6 segments of hockey/lockout/Burke on the roundtable.
To some extent I agree with you, Alex but this is CLEARLY the biggest sports story this past week (other than the CBA agreement).
but would it warrant all six segments? thankfully, the 6″00 hour is starting with HOF talk.
Is there anybody on the planet who thinks John Shannon is anything more than a 1st class dork!?
I’m doing my best to listen to the PTS roundtable this evening but this moron keeps yapping away and making things up just for the sake of speaking.
He knows nothing and offers no legitimate insight on anything. Why is he even on the air???
Can anyone shed some light on this? I’m not having much luck with sports talk radio in Toronto.
Thanks.
I remember when Burke, Colangelo and Beeston were on PTS, Bob asked each for their favourite movies. I don’t remember what the other 2 said but Burke’s choice was “Breaker Morant”.

any chance one of the admins can find time to put up a weekend thread?
No kidding. I thought this place would be on the “Burkie” presser like an all-girls school student at a salami factory.
“Is there anybody on the planet who thinks John Shannon is anything more than a 1st class dork!?”
I don’t think so.
Hearing Cox and (especially) Shanon blather on about the Baseball HOF inductions was SO hard to listen to, if you are even a casual baseball fan.
Shannon blatantly had no idea what he was talking about, suggesting Piazza may not have been voted to the HOF based on his numbers rather than steroid speculation. He’s probably the greatest offensive catcher of all time. Good lord. I mean, if he doesn’t know anything about a subject that’s fine, but why pose an argument as though you do?
