Nan,

Yes we all know by now. Bell has bombarded the world with this story. Who is he?

Pretty cynical Roger…especially for a guy who questioned why a Hall of Fame football star who went through years of therapy because of those spousal abuse issues and has shown remorse and shame over it. And yet, Bell actually commits to trying to make a difference in another area that affects so many, and you say they “bombarded the world” and question who James Peek is. Google it. I did, took less than a minute. Some people should not hit send until they first hit think.

Reel,

Bell is only adding to the wuffification of this and future generations. If parents spent more time teaching their kids about mental toughness we wouldn’t have so many effed up kids in the world.

These kids need to learn how to suck it up.

That’s a hell of an attitude Roger. The whole point is some people can’t have that mental toughness. It’s a very real problem and it’s attitudes like yours that keep a lot of people from speaking out about it. It’s incredible ignorance to suggest the problem is the parents.

Reel,

Talk to any psychologist who deals with youth and they’ll tell you the source of most kids’ issues stems from the parents – at least that’s the kids’ perception.

Today’s media seem to want to jump on the victimhood thing as well. That only makes it worse because so many simpletons just eat it up (see you).

I just try to give facts and not puff like yourself.

Where do you get this stuff? Exactly who is jumping all over the victimhood thing? I keep hearing that from people, but I don’t see any evidence of it. You’re probably right about kids blaming their parents for their problems. Responsibility is something we learn, Roger. But mental illness is different. It’s real, and any psychologist will tell you so. And just to set you straight; you’re not giving facts, you’re giving opinions…and that’s not puff. It’s fact.

And one other thing Roger. You were quick to condemn Warren Moon for his spousal abuse…and the next day, there’s a picture of the Queen, badly beaten. To which you suggest you’ve never seen her better. Can you say hypocrite?
