After an off night, Matt Cauz returned to form yesterday with Jay and Dan, and Sean McIndoe. One guest who wasn’t interesting was Dave Naylor. This could be another disaster. I actually liked Cybulski and Macko, they had a younger, urban TO feel, and made Bob’s show seem old.

I think it was a good idea for Rogers to sign Kypreos long term as MacLean might be leaving for politics. He should leave. Does he want to talk about the Korbinian Holzers for the rest of his working life? He’s better, smarter than that; and seems like a natural glad-hander. He got a bigger than life personality and should take a chance to become the Premier of PEI.

Meanwhile, it’s good to have Jay Onrait back this week after his month off. I know he needed the break, mopping the floor with Sportsnet, year after year, must be tiring. Even the Wall Street Journal is a fan of the Jay and Dan Sportscentre.

On the tv side, TSN is always more entertaining than Sportsnet. LOL.

Awesome PR work, Kamlesh! If that article had been 10 months old, I’d be worried it was outdated, but it’s only 9 months old, so it’s still fresh as a daisy.

Kidding, but yes, they’ve done well for themselves. Sportsnet’s still trying to find a counterbalance but it’s still seeming slow, despite not being all freshened up with the new “SN” and music, and putting proper ties back on their anchors and improving them.

The days of Jason Portuondo, Jim Lang, and Damian Goddard seem so long ago! Oh, and TSM’s favourite, Mike Toth! Good heavens, Sportsnet’s had some low moments. Much better to look at now, and as most concur, the radio station’s fresh coat of paint has given it lots of new life and listeners, judging from the ratings.

MacLean’s very good at what he does, and gets paid well for it. Politics is a whole new set of headaches. Bet he stays doing this for 10 years.

Sportsnet was better off in the days of Toth and Goddard. They’ve only replaced them with duds.

Maybe when the Jays start getting a million viewers a night, it will lift the Sportsnet shows following the game. I wonder if Cybulski would jump to Rogers. It’s hard to see where he fits in for TSN tv. I know he fills in for Dave Hodge on The Reporters, but even though Hodge is 68, he seems a ways off from retirement. Cybulski would be an improvement over any of the current Sportsnet Connected hosts.

Are you serious Roger? Toth is completely incompetent and Goddard, really?
