What a COMPLETE and I mean COMPLETE waste of 20 minutes tonight’s opening segment on PTS was. I mean seriously, crayons, plains and the constant ‘smaking’ of lips while drinking Tea. And enough already with the stupid Irish impressions, is he purposely trying to make viewers change the channel? Thank God (if I’m lucky enough to be home) tomorrow & Friday the 1st two rounds of the WGC at Doral are on. Sorry for the rant but I am just so sick of this show continuing it`s downward spiral.

Hayhurst and Wilner have been doing a fantastic job on the Spring Training games. The discussions are smart, the play-by-play is complete without being over the top, and they don’t take the game too seriously but don’t get silly.

I hope I get to hear more of them during the regular season.

The Leafs VP, Dave Poulin interview was excellent on Naylor’s show. Sometimes it’s like the host is pulling teeth when talking to team officials, but Poulin seems to want to talk, without the arrogance of Burke or Ricciardi, the blandness of Nonis.

I’m surprised that nobody has commented yet on the terrible new sportsnet590.com website. How does one listen to any of the podcasts now?? Brutal!

if you want a serious mindfuck, read this story on a Muslim player playing for an Israeli soccer team being booed by his home fans for scoring a goal. I have no words for this kind of insanity. Seriously soccer — what the fuck?

It was interesting to see in Friedman’s blog on the CBC website that the Hotstove panel got plenty of criticism for being too soft on the Calgary Flames when discussing the Ryan O’Reilly situation on Saturday………………..that criticism is accurate in my opinion……………..it’s really hard to believe what HNIC has done to that segment this season

Totally agree on Wilner/Hayhurst. Good broadcast, and I love their modern use of stats.

Darren – Couldn’t agree more. Its almost like Bob knows he has little little to offer so he’ll offer nothing – except of course how much he likes crayons.

Mike (in Boston) – That does suck for the player but try to imagine what it would be like for a jew to play on the national team for a muslim dominated country. Of course, that would never happen in the first place.

@ Roger, I think when they are in Florida doing the show it will almost be unwatchable!
