i’m on a break from PTS for the most part (come back Ami and tell me what’s worth listening to!). But i wonder if Bob will revise his “insider” sourced view that Burkie was fired because George Cope wanted a GM in place who would trade for Luongo.

If he mentions anything about it, please report back here. Otherwise, this will have to go in the “Sundin to the Rangers” pile.

Maybe Ami stopped doing PTS reviews because someone posted a comment that called them “pathetic” and said “shame on a woman for such mis-guided hero worship”…………………hopefully she ignores those insults because there are many other people who actually enjoy her reviews

The King has re-signed for $20 million. I see from the comments to the story some don’t approve. Bob’s lucky his detractors aren’t so vicious(for the most part).

Maybe it’s just me but has anyone else noticed that sportsnet is using the behind the backstop camera way too much. I like it used for a wide view of the field on replays involving plays on the basepaths. I find it annoying as a live camera because you really can’t see where the ball crosses the plate. Again, maybe it’s just me.

This caller to the old show with Russo posits a theory Francesa is number 1 because he’s not liked. Kapeesh? LOL.

@D Yes that shot drove me nuts. It’s very awkward and doesn’t offer a good POV for the viewer.

Oh, and I guess Sportsnet got a super slo-mo camera for Xmas.

Without getting a proven goalie the leafs will barely make it into the playoffs (if they don’t miss it entirely) and flame out in the first round. Luongo would have made things a lot easier.

I like the Jays’ start so far – 0 and 2.

Would love your thoughts, please comment.x
